Nextsourcing is a company that provides networking support and monitoring. The team was part of a NOC responsible to provide network support for clients around Brazil.

As a Software Engineer at Nextsourcing I achieved the following:

• Built a Service Desk/Help Desk system from scratch using my previous knowledge in the Customer Support area
• Learned about the Software Lifecycle and the consequences of architectural decisions
• Learned about code maintenance and code sustainability
• Participated in meetings with potential investors and clients
• Improved my communication and my technical skills
• Created a deep understanding of the Django ORM
• Learned about MySQL queries optimization

Technical Stack:

Python was our main programming language and built web applications using Django and Flask, our RDBMS was MySQL. We had unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests. Our end-to-end tests were executed with Selenium.

We implemented our maps and charts reports with Google APIs and I learned a lot about Javascript. Our frontend was built using Twitter Bootstrap CSS framework.
